Chosen Solution
Before i went to bed i set a cup of water on my xbox because it is on the desk right next to my bed and I must have knocked it over while i was asleep and when i woke up I went to go play fortnite and at this point i didnt know that my xbox was full of water. When i loaded into the game my screen went black and my xbox shut itself off. When this happened i lifted my xbox up and much to my surprise a wave of water came out of the sides and right on to my lap. As soon as this happened I went to youtube to see if there is a way to fix it and a lot of videos said if you tip it over on its side for a few hours it should be fine but all the videos warned not to turn it on until it is dry. So i was wondering if there is anything i can do for my specific problem or if i fried the motherboard.
There is a good chance you have fried something inside, sometime you can smell it’s burnt inside when this happens, I would suggest drying out the unit by putting it in a dry warm place for atleast 2 days or get it opened up to get it dried faster and see if damage has already been done, the gift of water in electronic devices is a gift that keeps giving , it’s maybe time to replace
