I was swimming in the river with my iphone 5 in a waterproof case, when i got out of water and looked in a case, it had a little water in it, but the whole iphone was covered in water drops. I turned it off and put it under the sun so water could evaporate. When i turned the phone on, it worked perfectly, except the power button. In the beginning it was living it’s own live - turning the screen on and off and making the “slide to power off” appear, then it didn’t work at all, now it’s somewhere between those states - doesn’t work, or act weird. Could I somehow make it work without dissasembling the phone?
Not that I’m aware of. You’ll need to open it up and take a look at it. You could have more water damage that has not manifested yet. You need to open it anyway. Any water inside will not dry any time soon and you may be causing more damage letting it sit inside. If you don’t feel comfortable opening it up, take it to a shop a.s.a.p.
