I have redmi 5a phone . I got some water in my phone about 6 months ago but now my phone screen works automatically sometimes.when I do a screen test it shows a vertical line blinking in the lower part of the phone.
But … changing the screen will not solve the liquid damages. You should clean it before changing any circuit or part.
Try doing a screen replacement. If that doesn’t work, try checking for bad connections on the Logic-Board. If you found some, try replacing the logic board. Personally, I think that the Logic Board replacement will be obligatory since the one your using will probably have board-level water damage.
