Spilled clear water on macbook pro keyboard and dried it out over three days. Unhooked the battery as it was trying to cycle on and off everytime i opened the lid. So i have battery unhooked and back open and drying upside down for three days. Is it safe to leave the battery unhooked an plug into wall to test? Or should I plug the battery cable back in to test?
beckyhouser1 , Stop charging or powering up your device until the liquid damage is addressed correctly, as you could be shorting out components inside the Mac. You really should take care of the corrosion that is happening inside the computer from the water damage as that could be a big problem. Pick your device Link #1, choose your model for disassembly guide, it will enable you to get inside the computer to remove the damage/corrosion caused by the liquid. Use the 2nd link as a guide/instruction on how to clean/repair the device from liquid damage. After this you will be able to power on the Mac and see if further damage has to be addressed. Good luck.
