Hello, i spilled water on the table and it got into my MacBookPro. It went off and only did a very quiet beep when turning it on. It didn’t change after drying it out. Than i found out how to clean a logic board. I bought 100% alcohol, took the MBP apart and cleaned the parts but it still would just make that quiet beep. The charger worked though. I than gave it up and bought a new Logic Board. After i put everything together it now makes the start-sound but nothing else would work, no keyboard oder trackpad light, no light on the screen, even the fan is not spinning. What could be the reason for this? I don’t think they sent me a new logic board, that doesn’t work. Any ideas on my problem?
so im guessin that when you say new it is actually a used logic board and only new to you, what area of your old logic board had signs of damage, did you check the lcd connector, battery connector for signs of liquid damage, also try a new magsafe port
I really recommend that you take the board back out and plug the magsafe into it and see if the fan spins - and I’m really sorry about how this will sound but you did check/replace the other water damage parts before you plugged them into this new board right? I’d start testing and inspecting parts and maybe plug your hard drive into an enclosure to see if it still has your data on it and is readable (back it up while you’re at it)
