Hey guys, i have a big Problem. A friends of mine pured over my macbook coke. It was not much. But the macbook didn’t boot. So I put it in Rice and wait a day. After that the MB turn on, but the fan was quite loud und I switch it off. After that the Macbook won’t boot anymore. The Macsafe LED is the only think wich works correctly. The guys from the In Insurance said to me, the Logic board is broken and not repairable. So I tried it by myself, and, open the Macbook and removed the Logic Board. And what is see, is nothing. It looks like there is no Coke in it. No sticky parts or sth like that. Have you an Ida what I can do? Is there a fuse or so? Or is there an exciting curcuit Plan? I am an electronics, so I can work on a curcuit board, but without a plan it not working.
First Rice does not work! This is an urban legion. Sadly, this piece of fake news has traveled so far its believed as true (which its not)! You really need to do a good clean of the logic board and the parts that got wet with Coke. Its possible the logic board is now damaged due to a short from the Coke. As far as schematics they can be found which if you know how to troubleshoot electronics can be helpful. The only rub is some parts are custom to Apple so you may have a hard time locating them other than from another junk system.
