I recently had the screen replaced in my iPhone like two weeks before the water damage occurred. I have taken apart the iPhone and inspected for corrosion. The phone will not respond to when I try and turn it on, nor will it respond when connected to iTunes or lighting cable. I am hoping the phone is not ruined and can be fixed. But, I doubt this.

There is a good chance it could be repaired by a good micro soldering tech. Most will do this for data recovery purposes and the thing with water damage is it could be repaired, but not a guaranteed repair. As water (corrosion) can get under critical components and cause other issues down the road. Have the board cleaned professionally in an ultra sonic cleaner and troubleshooting done to repair the damaged components replaced can exceed the cost of the phone, but I have a few customers who are still using their water damaged phones months after repair.
