Hello, I removed my Mac book from its case today and found that the case was soaked in water. My MacBook I believe was out of charge anyway. I made sure it was turned off. I straight away dried it off, removes the back case and uplugged the battery. However it was too late and the there is corrosion to the board. What is the best way to clean this? Or what is my best chance of getting my MacBook working again? Thanks

@cordon “I’ve tried it and it’s not worked.” let us know what you tried. You will have to remove your board and place it in 90%+ isopropyl alcohol and use a soft brush to gently scrub the corrosion away. While you do so, check for missing, burned or otherwise damaged components. It is absolute possible that your board is destroyed and that you may need a replacement, but you could at least try. Since you need to consider the board as a lost cause you can not harm it by at least trying. Post some images of what your board looks like after you’ve cleaned it. Post images showing both sides of the board.

You will want to clean it with denatured alcohol and some kind of lint free rag.
