I have an iPhone 5C that was water damaged. It wasn’t bad as far as I can tell. There wasn’t much corrosion on it but it wouldn’t boot up so I cleaned the board in 99% isopropyl alcohol. I removed the EMI shields and cleaned under them. When I cleaned under the one on the back, something came off. That is all the noticeable damage that I can see. The board when you turn it on gets extremely hot but won’t light up the screen. Does any one know what was knocked off or what circuit it is on and if it would prevent it from turning on and cause the extremely hot temperature? I included a pic of the missing component

. Its on the back towards the bottom but not very bottom.

@cabutcher99 this answer is not to diagnose your board but to identify the component. The missing part is reference designator C319 which is a 10UF 6.4V 20% ceramic capacitor in a 0402 package. It is part of your PP1V1 rail. You do want to clean that board some more. It still shows plenty of corrosion. Repalce the missing component and the battery and check your board for shortcircuits.
