My whirlpool washing machine leaks at the hot water faucet handle when the supply line is connected. When I ran a cycle with the hot water supply line disconnected from the faucet, water came out of the hot water supply hose at high pressure (I drained it into the sink on the washroom). Any recommendations on how to fix this? There is not apparent leak from the faucet when the supply line is disconnected.
Hi @mfox518 Was the water coming out of the hot water hose only during the drain part of the wash cycle or rinse cycle? If so perhaps it is being pumped out by the drain pump. Here’s the tech sheet for your washer that may help. Run the diagnostics as shown in the guide and check if it shows anything.
do not turn the faucet on fully. Mine also leaked when fully on so I only turn it one turn. My main shutoff leaks if I don’t turn it fully on. I hate those type faucets.
