When we turn on the washer, the start button will not work. We cannot turn the knob to a different setting or modify any of the other settings. We followed a YouTube video to run diagnostics and found that there were no saved error codes. Only 888 was on the display and off the buttons seemed to work in the mode. We than proceeded to take off the lid to access the control panel to clean the contacts on the control board. We hooked everything back up and are still experiencing the same problems. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you in advance!
Hi @naem08 , Not being able to physically turn the cycle selector knob is a concern, as it is connected directly into the electronic control board. Hopefully the mechanism in the control board is not jammed Here’s the tech sheet for the washer. Go to p.11 and see the Troubleshooting Guide > Won’t Start cycle causes and checks. Hopefully this is of some help.
does the screen interface get any power? did you try a reset? and self diagnostic? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjY2OhTW…
Cleaned the control panel with alcohol and waited to power it up the following day.
