My Maytag LAT8420AAW does not advance to the wash cycle after filling. I have replaced the lid switch assembly and the timer motor, also checked the fill level control, which has the proper circuit readings when tested with a multimeter. Belts are positioned correctly, center pulley rotates freely in both directions. Still not working. After filling, the motor makes no sound. Seems that the motor isn’t sending power to the timer. Can you please help?
The timer might be defective. The timer is frequently misdiagnosed—before replacing the timer, first check all of the more commonly defective parts.
