Chosen Solution
Guys about two weeks ago i was cleaning my home button with a q-tip and some alcohol, after this it stopped working along with Touch iD, i turned it off and the next day it still would not work, i haven’t gotten around to cleaning it from the inside because I’ve been very busy, should i take it to somebody that knows how to clean it or do you guys think i’m toast? Anyway thanks for your answers!
Next time use 99% isopropanol if possible. Try to open the phone carefully, check for visual damage of the button, then repair it or replace it. Keep in mind that by replacing it you will lose the TouchId function, but you will have a functional Home button.
Umm.. alcohol? I assume Isopropyl? :3 Could you please show a picture of the solution you had used?
