I have a ThinkPad T61 wide screen model with defected graphic card, the computer itself still working perfectly, but the only problem is the defected graphic card. After these years I still want to find a way to fix it or finding a working/improved version of motherboard. Is there any chance?
You need to replace with the proper board, there are several T61 mbds. If you want to, disassemble the laptop (directions can be found on IBM’s website, just google “T61 repair manual”) and then search eBay for the same one.
