In End 2018 i bought a “refurbished” iPhone 5S from Backmarket. I noticed a little screen bulge in the upper right corner, i could feel press it down with my finger, but not much, it was OK. The phone worked alright. Now, two days ago, the iPhone was falling on concrete from around 1 meter. I have a Spigen bumper, it took no visible damage. But i noticed that the Vibration doesn’t work, e.g. when use the silent switch, messages, etc.(It’s not deactivated in the iOS Menu, i checked that) Also the Volume Up button doesn’t work, Volume Down is OK. Then I noticed when i press the display in the upper area, over the screen, (near the bulge) the Volume Up/Vibration work. Not always, but 7/10 times. Sooo, i think the fall made the screen a little bit looser, but how does that affect Vibration/Volume? At first i thought i need to replace the Vibrator, but it works when i press the display down. Is there some cable connector, who could be loose because of the display bulge? Thanks and Greetings Josef Update (08/26/2019) I don’t think the battery is faulty. “Bulge” is maybe a little exaggerated (not nativ english speaker) as you see on the pictures. I just pop up a little bit out around the Top-Button corner. I think the battery is too far away to cause that.

so the problem could be that when it was refurbished they didn’t put the screen in properly I recommend opening the phone up and then closing it backup and make sure to press firmly around the edges of the screen
