My device Samsung Galaxy A5 (16) mobile phone’s Volume key down button malfunctioned (it wasn’t physically broken), sometimes it would randomly decrease the volume of my phone all the way to silent unless I press the Volume up key. When I restarted the device it got stuck in Safe mode and the volume down key would not work. I sent it for repair to the customer service, but when I received the phone they told me that due to a fault in motherboard my device can’t be fixed (I didn’t have Warranty for a replacement). After receiving my device from customer service, when I booted my phone it didn’t show the Samsung logo instead it showed “Android is starting” with a loading bar below, as well as It was out of safe mode and my data was intact. The random decrease in volume would still occur though (and after a while the volume down key stopped working). Recently my device was restarted due to a software update and it is again stuck in Safe mode and the volume down key would not similar to the first situation. So is there any way to get my device out of Safe mode without losing any data like the mechanics from Customer support did? I don’t care about the volume key as long as I can get my device out of safe mode. Thanks
My volume keys were stuck (which I knew for quite sometime). A repair person online told me to use 70% or higher rubbing alcohol on a q-tip. I only had 50% alcohol but tried that anyway on my volume keys wiping and pressing to unstick them and it WORKED! I restarted my phone and safe mode wasn’t there anymore.
Restarting worked for me
Well, I had a similar situation. My volume down key wouldn’t work, as it randomly stopped working, I didn’t know why, when my tablet died ( Samsung Galaxy TABA 6 (2016) ), I woke up at four in the morning 4/5 CST it was randomly in Safe Mode, I even had to factory reset my tablet to fix it. That didn’t even fix the safe mode. Safe Mode was still on there even when you set up the device it was still there. BE CAREFUL when using the volume keys, when I sent it into Best Buy the said they couldn’t fix it, therefore it was sent to the legendary ‘Geek Squad’ and they said it was dirty by the inside but I don’t know how it got dirty, take apart the device and check the rocker ( where you press the keys down ) and clean that very carefully, that should fix your device.
Turn off safe mode my phone volume key is not working please help me
I have had a similar problem of late and the only thing i had to do was disconnect the entire side key and then remove and re-insert the sim card which then prompts you to restart your phone since sim card will be detected. After phone is completely booted it will be out of safe mode then you connect the side key again. But if by any mistake you restart your phone it will go back to safe mode because of the faulty volume down key so you will have to repeat the above process again.
If volume button stuck or broken….its automatically boots in safe mode, u have to repair or fix the buttons to get rid of safe mode , there is no way to get rid off that!!! All the best
