My wife’s Iphone 6s got rained on about a year ago and died. In lockdown i’ve had a crack at fixing it. I’ve replaced the screen and got visual back, but the volume buttons, the home button and the power button do not work. However, the ringer-toggle-silent-thingy does. Has any one got any tips how i might be able to get some or all of these back as well?
You can purchase a new power button and volume button and the cables for them on ifixit. Repair shops will only repair a water damaged phone just to retrieve data. Once it’s been wet it can stop working at anytime. Once it starts corroding you can’t stop it .good luck and ifixit has the parts.
