My Vizio m422i-b1 42inch HDTV has starting having an issue with pixelated horizontal lines that will appear on screen in random spurts. I first noticed it about a week ago and then it would only flash the lines for a few seconds before the TV resumes as normal so I thought nothing of it. Now though the lines will last for a few minutes at a time before stopping and the TV will resume normal picture quality. I don’t really know much about the workings of TV’s but I think my TV might be on it’s way out and I was wondering if anyone could point me towards what the issue with it might be or if there is a possible fix? I posted a video on youtube showing the issue in action if that would help at all. Thanks in advance for any help.
hey, It’s very complicated for me to explain it in english but i give it a shot :) i had the same problem with my tv, ( sony) : it was a ripped (or burned) flat cable , you can’t repair it ( in most cases) case it is in the screen. if you give a litlle bump ( tick) on the screen on the upper piece of the screen, do you see a differance? You can also try to clean the flat cable with alcohol. If you have warranty , go to the store , here in europe we have 2 years legal warranty , i don’t know in your country. check the man board for leaking capacitors or chips. Hope i helped you a little.
