Chosen Solution
I was having a problem with my tv. It would power on, back lights were working. But no sound or picture. After searching online for a possible fix, I ordered and replaced the power control board. Now I get sound, but no picture. I’m not good with electronics or mechanically inclined, but I can’t afford to take it to a shop or buy a new one. I did the best I could to look for damage, burns or loose connetions and everything seems to physically be fine. Hopefully these pictures help .
Verify that the back lights are working by using a flashlight with the set on and sound working. If you place the flashlight at an angle, do you see a picture on the screen? If so, then the back light is not working and will require repair. Since you have replaced the power supply board, I would no longer suspect that to be the problem. It canbe the main board, but report the results of the flashlight test first. Dan
