I have a Vizio Vizio E500i-A1. It’s about 5 yrs old. The picture will show in black & white at random times. I have checked the color settings & it was not the issue. I have to turn the tv on & off a few times before the picture will show up in color again. Is this a common occurrence with this model? Or could this issue be the wiring? Maybe it needs new ones?
Noel Valentin it is possible that this is a cabling issue. Remove the LVDS cables and check the contacts. Reseat the cables making sure that they are seated properly and straight. It is also possible that his error comes from the mainboard or the T-con board. Check for any odd-looking components.
