I have a Vizio E422VA TV which is 5 years old with no sound. A technician came out and siad the motherboard had to be replaced. Would a soundbar or receiver with extenral speakers attached to the TV bring back the sound. Thank you.
@fogcpa that might work if the amp circuitry of the TV has failed. If the audio codec has failed on the motherboard, it wont. Give it a try and see if it works.
