Tv type is in title. Watching tv the other day the screen just went black. Did some tests. Flashlight shows picture, sound still works. Google told me it was the power board. Went ahead and replaced it tv worked fine for a few hours. Now Im back to a black screen. Tv turns on I see the video symbol few seconds later just black. I can still see the image with a flashlight too. What to do now? Did I replace the wrong part?
Hi @ethanjo , Since you replaced the power board and the problem returned it appears as though the problem may be in the LED backlight array somewhere. Purchase a LED backlight tester (search online there are plenty available to suit any budget). Here’s a video that shows how to test the backlights using a tester. There are other more detailed videos on YouTube that show how to isolate the problem to a single LED strip or LED if it turns out that it is the problem.
