When I plugin the E55OVL, the Visio, at the bottom of the screen comes on yellow. When I turn on the TV, Visio turns white and screen stays black. Looked down the vent, no back light. the little optical below the Cable hook up is dark. I took the back of and checked the fuse above the AC plug with it plugged in, good voltage both sides. Is there more than one fuse on the power board?
mrwol we need to see what boards you have in your TV. Vizio uses a hodgepodge of parts and you just never know what you get. Post some good pictures with your QUESTION. Adding images to an existing question Next you want to check that you have stby voltage on the connector leading to the main board. If you do not have any stby voltage it is most commonly your power board which has failed. Should you have that voltage the issue can be coming from the main board. Remember that the power supply in principle is always on and it is the main board that tells the power supply on how to distribute and which board to turn on etc. (very simplified)
