My new Sony FDR ax53 viewfinder display only uses about 70% of the available space. You can actually see internal parts of the camera. It looks like it has a picture frame around it. This seems wrong. Basically like watching a TV with the screen size reduced by 30%. If anyone has this model please see if yours is like this. Maybe that’s the way they’re made. Sure looks odd.
Hi @fettda , It sounds as thought the viewfinder display has either shifted or perhaps a shroud around the screen is missing. As it is new consult the manufacturer’s warranty statement, for your location, as to what you have to do to get a manufacturer’s warranty repair or replacement.
