I ordered a replacement battery from ifixit and changed the battery following the instructions provided on the website. After changing the battery the phone no longer vibrates? I have reseated the connector for the taptic engine but still no vibration. Is there anything else I can try to fix the problem?
When you turn the phone on how long does it take to boot up? Does your home button work properly including Touch ID? Does the vibrate work with the home button? Is the charge port flex correctly seated? Also check the front cam and earpiece for functionality.
Could try hanging a new charge port in with taptronic attached to eliminate charge port flex. If you have parts I would also try volume ribbon and front cam but it sounds board level repair.
You probably damaged the small wire in the ribbon cable of the charging port or tore the haptic engine flex cable when pulling the battery. Change the charging port or Taptic Engine you’d issue.
