Hello. I’ve just bought an used iPhone 8 and there is a problem with microphone and call speaker. That’s a little bit strange because when I speak with someone through ear speaker, they can hear me well, but when I turn the loud speaker on then they can’t hear anything. The same issue is with snapchat, but for example recording with camera app works fine. About the call speaker - the problem isn’t as annoying as with the microphone, because it’s just a bit quiet. Can anyone help me?
There are 4 microphones found in the 8. Two at the bottom on the charge port, there’s one on the front facing camera assembly, and one by the rear camera assembly. I would start with replacing the charge port to essentially replace the two bottom mics. But before you do that, clean out the wholes at the bottom. Sometimes those can get clogged with dirt.
