I have a 60 inch Samsung, 4 years old. Verticle red line on right side, about 6 inches in. Sounds like this happens a lot. Does Samsung have an issue or What. A tv should easily last 12 years or more. The old ones would last longer. Any help with this issue and samsung?
pretender1953 not an issue where Samsung takes a lead. Just a common issue with LCD screens over the last few years. Sounds like a TAB error and if you post an image of your screen with your question we can either rule it in or out. It would even be better if you can take a look at the ribbon cables that enter the LCD screen from the driver board (logic board which is part of the LCD assembly). That way we can see what you see. Put some pressure on the ribbon in the region where the line appears. If it changes or even goes away, you know it’s a TAB error. Let us know your TV’s exact model number so we can research this a bit more. This is similar to what you are looking for
