Hello everyone, so by mistake I punctured the iPhone battery, when scrapping the back glass and I didn’t disconnect the battery(I know, that was silly). And now I have white line on the screen. So do I need replace screen, battery or it is more serious problem?
Ok now when you did the back glass did you remove the board or anything? The line you’re describing is a result of damage to the OLED panel. There have been many times I’ve had customers come to me after they dropped their phone and although they didn’t physically crack the glass, they did damage the OLED panel. You can order a replacement on ifixit.com here: https://www.ifixit.com/Store/iPhone/iPho… DO NOT use the cheap LCD option. This phone was designed to be used with a more efficient OLED panel and is not designed to be used with LCD. I don’t know why on earth, of all the places, to offer LCD screen replacements. They can damage the display connector on the board.
