Hi , I am using a non-retina macbook pro and suddenly i started getting vertical stripes on the right side of the screen and this is intermittent and does not happen always .Can someone please tell me what is going wrong, Unfortunately my warranty got ended yesterday :( I would be grateful if someone could help me please..
Likely the LCD is bad (either damage to the LCD itself causing lines, or a bad LCD board, so it causes lines when moved), or the LCD cable is bad. Send a picture across to verify this, but my bet is on the LCD. You can remove the LCD and LCD cable yourself to determine which part is bad, or take it to a 3rd party repair centre who can help.
