my daughter dropped her Lumix dmc-gf7.everythings else seems to be ok. except the vertical lines on the review screen.The lcd is not broken and I have replaced it.what else could be the cause of it.Any suggestion is welcome.05/14/2022.
Hi, Just verifying that pictures taken using the camera and then downloaded and viewed on a computer are OK i.e. no lines on image? Not sure if you meant this when you said “everythings else seems to be ok.” If they are OK, maybe double check the connections from the LCD display to the control board behind the screen and also the cable connection to the control board from the camera. Also that the flex cable ends are clean etc. Try not to handle the part that goes into the connector socket with your fingers. Here’s a video that may help.
Hi @ceeg Here’s the service manual that may help. It describes how to replace the MOS unit (sensor) which may help if you want to check the connections first and also what adjustments need to be taken into account (optical tilt adj) if the unit screws are loosened because you had to replace it etc. The part number for the MOS unit is 1SE2Z178K3Z (supplier example only). There may be other suppliers but not many showed up when searching for the part number.
