No water or screen damage. Vertical lines on both computer screen and external display. I’ve tried all reset procedures. It will not boot in safe mode. Ran hardware test and it came back with no issues. Is this a gpu issue? or a kernel panic?
Wow! Not good ;-{ I was hoping the issue was the display as that would need a new display. In this case your video RAM is messed up, this will require either finding someone with deep micro-soldering skills or you’ll need to replace the logic board. Update (02/10/2022) Sorry replacing the VRAM is not a trivial job! You need some special tools and access to the needed parts which are hard to come by on the open market. Here’s a view of the logic board, the Yellow marked chip is the GPU and the four green marked chips around it are the VRAM chips
