Hello Community, i just received a MBPro 15": It’s fully working but showing vertical lines on the display from time to time. The screenshot i took via the OS has NO verticals lines, so i guess the graphics chip is fine. The photos taken show the lines (see below please) Strange: The lines appear and re-appear from time to time. Sometimes they can be seen for a maybe a week, then for several days there are no stripes at all - just a brilliant and clean looking display. When changing the angle of the display back and forth, nothing happens to the screen (neither with lines, nor without) Has anyone experiences such a behaviour already? Before starting to completely dismantle this MBP and replacing parts, i’d first like to ask you what could be the cause for this error? Thank you very much. Chris
First we need to know your EXACT machine, please give us the last three figures of you serial number, (located in the battery compartment. Also hook it up to an external monitor to see if the issue persists and let us know your results.
