Hi, I have a samsung smart tv UN40ES6100FXZC, 5 years old that just started showing a vertical line on the right side of the screen and general pixelated noise throughout the screen. This only seems to be happening on HDMI input. When I loadup the Smart Hub screen, it looks normal.
Sounds like the AV (Audio Video Board) is failing. Removed the rear panel and replacing that should resolve your issue. You could also try to reseat the connections to the AV board (unplugging them and plugging them back in). When removing the aluminum rear panel use protective gloves since the edges of the aluminum is ofter very sharp. You can cut your hand easily without protection.
