Chosen Solution
My galaxy tab 4 fell and now there is a red vertical line on the screen. It was bright red but now had faded so that it barely shows up on a white display. The touchscreen is unaffected and still responds. Thank you in advance for your help
Looks like the lcd is chipped/cracked. You will need a new lcd panel. Look at ifixit’s guides for guidance.
