hi everybody, I have a perfectly formed rectangle of missing image that has recently developed on my Samsung samsung un46eh5300fxza. In checking for various screen problems, I haven’t run across this one. Can someone with more experience tell me if the panel is bad (and probably not worth fixing) or if it is something I could handle by replacing some parts? Thanks!
Travis Ayres this could most certainly be a failed gate driver on your panels control board. Check the LVDS cables and see if you can get to the top of the panel itself. There should be a couple of fine ribbon cables that enter the LCD panel itself. Put some pressure on that and see if that changes the line. Let us know what you find.
