Hello all! I just got my hands on the imac from 2012 with an empty slot for the blade ssd. I have couple of options, to get an SSD from Macbook pro from 2012 (2B type, 7+17 pins) or from 2013 (2A type, 7+17 pins). They do have different dimensions and my question is mostly if either of the two would fit the logic board of an iMac 27’ from 2012? Thanks in advance!
Sadly no, the blade drive is not interchangeable between the two interfaces. One is an mSATA and the other is a PCIe/NVMe interface.
