I have no USB connection to my PC,only charging, but can’t download photos etc. Already changed USB cable and different ports on PC
Some devices (like Andriod phones) will only do file transfers to PCs if you enable it on the device first. Perhaps you were able to download the files from your phone to your PC at one point because the “file transfer” function was on. Have you checked the “file transfer” feature? 1 . Hook your phone to your PC by USB 2. “Swipe down” on your phone from the top of the screen 3. Tap the last entry on the drop-down menu (It may say something like “Tap for more options”) 4. Tap on the file transfer function that works best from the list that appears. Outdated USB drivers might also be the source of your problem. Have you downloaded the latest drivers for your PC’s USB ports?
- Open Device manager 2. “Universal Serial Bus Controllers” should be the last entry on the list of devices. Double-click on it and on any sub-entries that appear. 3. Under the “Driver” tab, click the Update Driver button. In a pinch, you may also perform the file transfers using other methods. Some other options: Email the photos to yourself while on your phone. Then open your email on your PC and save the photos to your desktop.Transfer the files using Bluetooth instead of USB.Save the files using cloud storage (Google Drive, iCloud/iTunes, Dropbox), etc.
