Hi, I’ve got an US version of the s6 edge model: SM-G925T Its currently displaying this message ‘Network Lock: This device can be remotely unlocked if eligible. Please use the “Device Unlock"application to unlock the device. Make sure the device has internet connectivity to use the “device unlock” application. I am in the UK, Whats the best firmware to flash the US T-Mobile version or can I install a generic one for the UK? SamMobile only comes up with the t-mobile one. Also I take it, it just need a unlocking code? Although when inserting a sim it doesnt ask me for a code
You cannot network a phone by flashing firmware. You need to unlock the phone via T-Mobile in 3 ways: Download the T-Mobile unlock app from the app store. If you are eligible, you can unlock the phoneCall T-Mobile if you are not eligible, and explain you are in the UK and need service. They may be nice enough to unlock your phone.If all else fails, unlock your phone by purchasing an unlock from Ebay. Since it is T-Mobile, it may not be cheap.
