Hi, I was wondering if I could upgrade my Asus UX32VD-R3001H 1366 x 768 resolution display with the 1080p screen replacement version without changing anything more. I know that there’s a version of my laptop that comes with the 1080p screen (also in matte finish) but I don’t know if it has different cables/connector. I appreciate the answer, because I have a bright spot on my screen and I want to replace it soon. Thanks mates, Yago.

Sorry it took me this long to answer this query. I’ve tried searching and I honestly have not found any data re this. So I went ahead and did it. I use a Zenbook UX32VD and this too has a full HD variant. The answer to this question, yes it is doable, using the ifixit teardown guide I replaced my old 720p screen with a 1080p model. Works well! Now the text looks so sharp and the screen so much better. I hope I was able to help.
