I would like to know if my 5s, which is in mint condition, can be internally upgraded to a newer model iPhone, for example XS , XR, 8, or 7, while still maintaining the current structural platform.
Not possible. The next better model up would be the iPhone SE which is the current one for the size of the iPhone 5 series.
