Updated To Ios 8 And Now Camera App Is Frezzing Help Iphone 4S

hello i updated my iPhone 4s to IOS 8 and now when i click the camera app the front-facing camera works but when i switch to back camera it freezes and then goes back to front-facing camera. Why is this and could i downgrade back to ios 7? thanks
