Hi I have Carge 3 that can’t turn on, unless it’s connected to the USB port. A. There is a way to solve this issue? Pressing common button combinations do not work B. There is a way to update firmware using my PC? The JBL Connect app can’t find the device (though I can play music from my android) Thanks Boaz
I have this problem after trying to update my charge 3. Unfortunatelly for me, this method does not work.
i think if you plug it in and hold the connect plus button and the volume up button until it turns off it should fix it
you have to keep the Connect button and the volume + button pressed when the device is switched on
Just fixed mine with same issue. Follow this sequence:
- Turn the device on while connected to charger
- Press the call (phone icon) and the volume up (+) button at the same time and keep them pressed. After a few seconds the speaker will shut down.
- Release the buttons.
- Turn the speaker back on. It will automatically enter into search mode… And there you are, memory wiped up. I then did the firmware update.
I tried this process but did not solve my problem to. O opened a ticket on support.
I have the same issue. Now my Charge 3 does not connect. This is terrible !
I had a swollen battery. Check it first. The problem has been fixed after replacing the battery and holding Connect + Volume up
Plug Power and press connect button for a few secounds.
I used the JBL Connect app to update my firmware. I’m using an android device.
Jbl like to Shut down suddenly when we played 2 or3 song
You must connect the speaker to AC and hold Connect+ and Volume Up. It should be powered off by itself and then you could use it without AC.
My JBL link portable doesn’t connect how do I fix it ?
