I have an unresponsive vertical section of screen that is half an inch wide that runs from the top to bottom of phone. The phone has not been dropped and has no cracks. Visually the screen looks fine. It recently started to work again sometimes, but will stop working randomly. Any ideas?
You will need to rule out a faulty screen although this can be costly if it doesn’t fix the problem. If you have a repair shop nearby they might have a test screen they can try on it. Having an unresponsive vertical section would defiantly point to a faulty screen.
