I have changed the screen, and no luck still. There is a small portion of the screen that doesnt react to touch, and haven’t been able to fix it. Also checked rechecked connections with screen cables and changed the battery, no luck still. Any ideas?
This is very likely a problem with the touch ic chip…which requires mad skill to repair. Jessa Jones is very good at this kind of repair. She owns the website irehab.com. She is well known amongst ifixit soldering members. I don’t know how much she would charge to repair a 5s. I’m not saying this is what it is,but it very likely is. you could always try to replace the screen again. Also, you can factory erase the phone, and even reinstall the iOS. It could be a software issue. I’ve heard of touch issues such as ghost touch and non functioning touch. This is very often caused by that ic chip(the chip responsible for controlling touch on the logic board). I’m sure Jessa could repair it. Good Luck!
