Not only do I keep receiving “unfortunately Android stock has stopped working” I can no longer send pics or videos. Does anyone have a solution?

Go into phone settings and scroll down to apps. Tap to select apps. Then scroll down to stock android, and tap to select. Then tap to select notifications. You will see 4 switches on that screen. Turn all 4 switches to the off position. Then reboot your phone. If the pop-up is still there, go back into stock android settings and tap storage. Delete data storage and clear cache. After rebooting, you will need to set shortcuts back up on your home screen, but you shouldn’t have any more problems.

1/31/2018…. What I did below, didn’t work. Bottom line… I just can’t use widgets. Once I cleared the data in apps for Android Stock, it went away. It will only allow you to have what it came with.

Hello, Found a final resolution to “Stock Android Stopped Working” Pretty much did what everyone did and none of them worked for me. I realized that it had to do when I was setting up my shortcuts in Widgets Resolution:

  1. Go to settings and click on Apps
  2. Scroll down to find Stock Android
  3. Click on it
  4. Now click on where it says Permissions
  5. All 3 items need to have a check ✓ mark For me my contacts was not checked off. Once I gave it permission… it went away. I redid my direct Dials and direct messages in widgets. It has not come back. Hope this helps those frustrated as I was

I have the same phone and the same problem. I called the company and they said it’s a software issue and there’s nothing that can be fixed on it. They said I’d have to send it in and my company would have to give me a loaner phone. I talked to T-Mobile and they ended up giving me another phone that’s also ZTE.. it was doing the same thing. So am I installed an App from the app Store I downloaded an automatic cache cleaned ,( cache cleaner 2018) and the problem has stopped for now. I like the phone but I hate this problem but so hopefully this helps.

Hey out there, I followed your instructions, went to pH. Setting, go to apps. Scroll to stock Android and select, I just went to storage and deleted everything & cleared out cache, turned phone off, when I turned it back on it was like nothing ever happened, I got my phone back to normal, I thank everyone who gave me input, for me this system works, I hope it helps others.

This solution works. Try it you will be amazed. Here are the 3 simple steps.

  1. Go to settings, scroll down to APPs
  2. Scroll down to the (s’) click on STOCKED ANDROID
  3. Click on FORCED STOP, click on CLEAR DATA! Close the settings App, and your done. Your phone will work like new again. Enjoy your life, we only get one life to live so make the best of it.

In most of the cases that is the some system file on device was infected by virus or deleted.So only solution is upgrade firmware of the phone is the solution.Try to firmware upgrade this may help you to tackle that fault.

Here’s what fixed my phone after I did all the following… Uninstalled apps, restarted phone too many times, and force stopped the stock Android app….a lot. By accident I allowed my phone to completely die out…I mean I let the battery go completely dead….by mistake. After I recharged the phone the problem went completely away… What luck. Try it out and see if it helps. Good luck.

I have 1 solution: download apps only, and delete shortcuts. I did this with 2 other phones of the same model and it fixed the issue.

I have had my xte max pro for a year and a half.it just got a corrupted file to store.they said I needed a new phone.took to best buy the powered up the phone holding the up volume.went to shell screen asked for a hard reset. All data will be lost.you need to have everything saved though Google. Or you will lose all contacts and pics.you cannot undo it once you say yes.your phone will boot up. All restored

must do a hard reset or nothing will change at all my friend. same issue here i’m just debating on when to do this, my signal is so low nothing will download at all. but im stuck to! so i’m gonna just do it and let it roll see what happens? usually this is a 100%fix! can’t hurt!
