Model: MacBook Air 13" Version: macOS 10.15.3 My MacBook Air 13” model no. is A 1466. I have switched it on and opened a document. While I was reading it, the system switched off and the screen went blank. I thought the battery must have gone flat and needed recharging. I have plugged in the charger to the mains supply. The charging indicator turned green and after a moment turned red. I have repeated the process from different electrical points but the same thing happened again and again. I have tried the Shift+Ctrl+Option +Power Switch methods (using the keys on the left and the right side) as suggested in the website. It still remains unresponsive. Please suggest what am I to do? Thanks
At this point with a dead system its hard to narrow down without deeper testing within the logic boards charging logic. Given the state on the lock down you may need to just replace parts and hope! Your system is no different than the 2015 models so you could just replace it with one from that series MacBook Air 13" (Early 2015) 1.6 GHz Logic Board, your SSD would still work with it. Now we also need to look at what did you in! I’m suspecting you had a cloned charger! So I would replace it as well with a real Apple unit. I also recommend you get a good surge suppressor outlet strip just in case you got a power surge which is also possible.
