Chosen Solution

I recently upgraded my computer to Mavericks. Now when I start the computer it remains on the white screen with the apple logo. When I start the machine in verbose mode it gives me the following error: BootCacheControl: Unable to open /var/db/BootCache.playlist: 2 No such file or directory Any ideas?

  1. turn off your mac
  2. start in single user mode command + S
  3. mount it in read write mode
  4. rm /etc/launchd.conf Reboot its going to start this time.l
