My girlfriend’s 10 year old shoved a game into my ps4 and it started making a weird noise like something was stuck. I took the disc out and now it will not accept discs. I have taken the drive out and cleaned around it and everything looks good. Rollers are set. White gears are in the right place. Why am I not able to insert a disc and what do I do?

Most likely, the intake motor strained and it blew a fuse. You mentioned white gears in place, so I’m assuming you’ve freed them of any residual debris. If so, soldering a new fuse into place should have you back in business. If not, make sure you do that as well as replacing the blown fuse or else you risk it happening again (has happened to me). 1000/1100 BD fuses Slim BD fuses 1200 BD fuses If once the gears are cleared and the blown fuse is replace, you find the drive still will not take in discs, then the motor itself may have burned up. The blown fuse almost always prevents this, but I’ve seen it happen. In that case, you’d want to replace the KLD-00X, the model of the intake board on your PS4. X will be a 1 and/or a 2 for 1000/1100 (the 1 and 2 are interchangeable), 3 for 1200, and 4 for Slim.
