Completely made sure all of the ports with sealed shut and proceeded to use my speaker for the first time in the water. DID NOT COMPLETELY SUBMERGE IT, it was probably in about 1 in of water for 10 minutes when the speaker shut off. It will not work anymore. Was advertised to be waterproof for up to a half-hour in about 1 meter of water?
If your UE Boom 2 refuses to turn on, see the UE Boom 2 Won’t Turn On problem page for possible causes and solutions. Water probably got into the Headphone/DC port. Since they did advertise as water-resistant, I would contact Logitech to see if they can do anything about a replacement.

Why won’t my UE MEGABOOM speaker work after it had been submerged under chlorine water ? It makes a deep tone and shuts off .
I have a wonderboom and i researched to double check if it was water proof and it said yes and so I had put it in the water and now it is temperamental with turning off or on and is stuck on sound down so when I turn the sound up it automatically turns it down again
Mine was left in the rain, now it won’t charge.

I think some lawers should prepare a lawsuit against logitech for defective products and lack of accordance between the published characteristics with the negative to replace woonderbooms after being summerged either with the usb port cap on or off.
