Watching tv & all the sudden the screen goes black, audio is fine. We have unplugged power source, no help. There is no HDMI cable. Please help. It’s only two years old
If you were still able to hear thetv when this happened it can be a couple different things but usually the problem is with burned out LED’s. It is a little bit of work opening up the TV to inspect and test the leds but can be done. The second issue that happens is at times the power board or LED driver board will fail. Based on the model you provided (55UK6500AUA) this is a edge lit tv with a led lightbar. From my experience it has always been this bar that goes out. If you feel good about doing this yourself here is the link with all the parts. :) hope this was helpful and good luck ? https://www.shopjimmy.com/search.php?sea…
Hi @geema17 You didn’t say whether you tried checking with a torch for images or not. Given that there is no picture but there is audio then if you did see images when using a torch then it could be a backlight problem or perhaps a mainboard problem. A backlight problem could be either the backlights themselves or a power board problem. If you didn’t see any images at all when using a torch then more likely it is a mainboard problem or a power board problem. Vague answer I know but maybe try disconnecting the power from the TV and then removing the back cover from the TV and inspecting the board for any obvious signs of component damage i.e. burnt out or heat stressed components, bulging or blown capacitors etc. After that testing of the supply voltages on the power board would be the next step. Sorry that i can’t be more specific but it would need diagnostic testing to find out what and where the problem is.
the LVDS cable ( the one that enters the display , the one with the RED sticker on it) , you need to izolate 15 pins ( or about 1 cm of pins ) on the right side of the cable with ducktape or something like that . it will work . just now by
